Since receiving the honor, he has been inundated with invitations. Yet whenever he has spare time, he still puts on his rider gear and heads out onto the streets of Kunshan. "Delivering food keeps me grounded, and that is my strength. Only by being immersed in everyday life can I keep discovering new feelings and finding inspiration," he says.

He cannot imagine giving up the hours spent riding through the city. "I can still rush up to the sixth floor in 25 seconds. Being in this state makes me feel alive and full of energy."

His poetry has reached a much wider audience since the award, although it has also attracted criticism online. Some readers say his work is too straightforward and lacks depth. Wang takes sincere criticism in his stride. He has begun reflecting on the balance between poetry's popular appeal and its more niche nature, and plans to explore more introspective writing.

"Criticism is the best whip, pushing me to run faster," he says. He plans to publish his second prose collection next year and is working on a new poetry collection. He has also begun shaping the framework of a novel in his mind.

"Life is a quietly flowing river, slow but unstoppable. If life gives me a cliff, I become a waterfall; if life gives me rocks, I become spray."

Making a living is the road beneath his feet; passion is the wings that lift him. Wang has always believed that there is no need to soar into the clouds. Flying low, too, can take you toward your dreams.
