Green, secure development: Building a sustainable foundation
China Telecom continues to improve its "1248" green development model. Over the year, it cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 16 million metric tons, while emissions per unit of total telecommunications business volume fell 8.7 percent year-on-year.
It is developing greener cloud and network infrastructure, advancing green technologies and standards, and expanding energy-efficient products and applications. It's also encouraging the public to adopt greener lifestyles.
Under its dual approach of "Security for AI, AI for Security," China Telecom has built a dynamic protection system covering cloud networks, data, models and applications.
The company released the world's first distributed cryptographic system integrating quantum key distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptography (PQC). It also developed the first commercially viable integrated quantum and post-quantum cryptography device. China Telecom has provided communications support for disaster prevention, mitigation and relief efforts, as well as major events.
