The Shanghai International Sustainable Vitality Week kicked off on Oct 29 in Jing'an district's Nanjing West Road-Suhewan Central Activity Zone and will run through Nov 4. Moving beyond traditional forum formats, the event extends sustainability discussions into commercial buildings, riverside spaces, and neighborhood blocks, linking global resources, industrial solutions, and urban scenarios to advance green practices in the world-class central activity zone.
Nobel Prize-winning physicist Horst L. Stormer delivered a keynote speech at the opening summit, sharing insights on energy and environmental transition from a physics perspective. "Our production is not the problem," Stormer said. "The problem is the way we produce it."
