Located in Liancheng county, Fujian province, Guanzhai Mountain takes its name from its main peak, which resembles the traditional headwear worn by Chinese imperial censors, known as the Xiezhi crown. The mountain is also an important cultural landmark for the Hakka people. Its striking Danxia landscape features towering red cliffs, secluded valleys, and distinctive rock formations, where rugged stone contrasts with the greenery and water.

In Chinese mythology, the Xiezhi is a mythical creature symbolizing justice and the ability to distinguish right from wrong, adding cultural significance to the mountain's name. From the heights, Shimen Lake lies like a mirror beneath the red cliffs, reflecting the dramatic scenery. Along the mountain trails, peaks, forests, and shimmering water create ever-changing views. Nearby, Peitian Ancient Village preserves traditional Hakka architecture and a heritage that values both farming and education, offering a glimpse into the region's cultural tradition.
