Beijing Capital airport to add flights under winter-spring schedule
Beijing Capital International Airport expects international and regional passenger flights to rise by more than 18 percent year-over-year under its winter-spring schedule, which takes effect Oct 25.
The airport is expected to handle an average of 1,300 flights a day during the season, up 57 from the previous winter, said He Yawei, resource management supervisor at the airport's operations control center. The new schedule will run through March 27, 2027.
International and regional passenger services are expected to average 252 flights a day, an increase of 39, while domestic passenger flights will reach 990 a day, up 14.
China adjusts its flight schedules twice a year, with the summer-autumn season generally running from late March to late October and the winter-spring season covering the rest of the year. The changes allow airlines to adapt their services to seasonal demand and weather conditions while coordinating with international scheduling practices.
