PYONGYANG -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) test-fired an intermediate-range strategic missile during a drill early Saturday morning, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
The DPRK launched the strategic weapon toward the eastern waters off the Korean Peninsula as its top leader oversaw the test, Kim Yo-jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, was quoted as saying.
The missile is capable of changing its flight trajectory at low altitude, and artificial intelligence technology was incorporated into the strategic weapon, Kim said.
The missile can set at least four flight orbit modes based on different targets and strike purposes, according to the report.
