Global sci-tech exchange to expand through International Month
The International Month 2026 will kick off next month, featuring around 70 events across 11 provincial-level regions in China and overseas countries such as Kazakhstan, according to the China Association for Science and Technology.
Themed "Fostering Innovation Sources, Shaping Ecosystems," this year's program is structured around international science and technology conferences, high-level professional academic conferences and exemplary science and technology people-to-people exchange mechanisms.
The China Association for Science and Technology said it will coordinate with international science and technology organizations headquartered in China, local governments, national societies and provincial-level science associations to jointly implement the program.
First inaugurated last year, the campaign is a flagship platform for transnational, cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation. Featuring 63 events, last year's program brought together more than 20,000 participants from over 110 countries and regions, providing an open platform for collaboration and opportunities for in-depth engagement in global governance.
