7 killed in Guizhou traffic accident

Seven people were killed in a traffic accident in Longli county, Guizhou province, early Tuesday, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The crash occurred at 1:42 am in Longshan township, when a car carrying seven people collided with a tractor-trailer, killing all seven occupants, according to Xinhua.

Local police said in a statement Tuesday that the car was driven by a 19-year-old man surnamed Wang, whose blood alcohol level met the threshold for driving under the influence. The vehicle was rated to carry five people.
