Shanghai Fashion Week announces its Spring/Summer 2027 schedule

Shanghai Fashion Week, set to begin on Oct 8 under the theme Renewed Radiance, unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 schedule on Tuesday. This edition will feature nearly 100 runway presentations, around 1,000 participating brands, and a comprehensive slate of events, including fashion shows, trade fairs, industry dialogues, and citywide consumer experiences.

Shanghai-based label HEMU will host the opening show, marking its 15th appearance at the event. The collection draws inspiration from Dunhuang cultural heritage, incorporating traditional Chinese textiles and techniques such as yunjin brocade, song brocade, kesi silk tapestry, and embroidery. 

Chinese independent designers continue to be a defining force in the lineup. The Xintiandi Main Tent will host labels such as XIAOLI, STAFFONLY, Comme Moi, and PRONOUNCE, offering a concentrated showcase of contemporary Chinese creativity.

The international lineup is also expanding. Los Angeles-based Nana Jacqueline will deepen its engagement with the Chinese market, while brands from Italy, France, and Denmark will present collections to explore new growth opportunities in China.
