Community dinner brings 2,000 residents together for Mid-Autumn Festival in Ningxia

More than 2,000 residents gathered ahead of Mid-Autumn Festival for a community dinner in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, to share food and performances under the evening sky.

More than 100 round tables were set up at a park for the annual gathering. Before dinner, over 100 residents made dumplings together, preparing dough, rolling wrappers, and adding fillings. Mooncakes, traditionally associated with family reunions during the festival, were also served.

"Everyone chats while making dumplings," said Wang Caixia, a resident in the community on Saturday. "They haven't even gone into the pot yet, but you already feel the warmth."
