Hebei expo showcases green building, capsule homes

In recent years, Gaobeidian has cultivated the green, smart, and healthy building sector as a key growth driver in its push to become an "international green building capital". Data from the local government shows that the industrial cluster now comprises 672 upstream and downstream enterprises, generating operating revenue of about 13.2 billion yuan (nearly $2 billion) in 2025.

Baoding, a city that administers Gaobeidian, has entered a period of accelerated growth and upgrading, according to Yan Jihong, mayor of Baoding. "We will continue to optimize the industrial layout, improve the industrial ecosystem, and upgrade the business environment to build national highlands for innovation, manufacturing, application, and trading in green, smart, and healthy buildings," he said.

The expo is co-hosted by the Baoding municipal government and the China Building Metal Structure Association. Covering an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, it has attracted over 500 domestic and international companies, showcasing advances in ultra-low-energy buildings, near-zero-carbon buildings, green building materials, and intelligent construction.
