China condemns terrorist attack on police camp in Pakistan

China strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a police camp in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and will continue to firmly support the country's efforts to combat terrorism, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Monday.

Guo made the remarks at a regular news briefing when asked about the Sept 18 attack, which reportedly caused heavy casualties.

He expressed sincere condolences over the deaths and extended deep sympathies to the injured and the families of those killed.

Terrorism is a common enemy of humanity and combating it serves the shared interests of all countries, Guo said.

China will, as always, firmly support Pakistan in fighting terrorism, he said, calling on all countries to work together to address terrorist threats and safeguard global security and stability.
