China Coast Guard patrols waters around Diaoyu Islands

The China Coast Guard carried out law enforcement patrols in China's territorial waters surrounding the Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islets on Thursday, according to a CCG statement.
The patrol mission, undertaken by a China Coast Guard vessel formation, was a legitimate operation intended to safeguard the country's maritime rights and interests, the CCG said.
