Rising high in the Wuling Mountains, Fanjing Mountain is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and one of the earliest areas in southern China to rise from the ocean and become land. Its mountaintops still preserve geological wonders dating back 1.4 billion years. Home to more than 7,100 species of wild plants and animals, Fanjing Mountain is also the only habitat of the Guizhou snub-nosed monkey.
