TEHRAN -- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei said that his country would announce a restricted zone outside the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days, state-run IRIB TV reported Sunday.
The zone would extend from "the line where the US naval blockade begins to regions in the Persian Gulf," and any ship attempting to cross the strait from within that zone would be put on Tehran's sanctions list, Rezaei said.
The security official also said that Iran had tested a domestically produced anti-destroyer missile for the first time against a US warship over the past 48 hours.
