On Aug 29, a massive mudslide cut off Highway G216 near Gyirong Port, Gyirong county in Shigatse, Xizang autonomous region. To secure this vital rescue passage, the State-owned engineering and rescue enterprise China Anneng Construction Group has deployed 60 specialists and 28 sets of machinery to reopen the roughly 2-kilometer road, with the company’s teams assessing and monitoring potential risks and hazards.
