CPC top discipline commission meets in Beijing
The sixth plenary session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing on Saturday.
The plenary session, attended by 116 CCDI members, reviewed the work of discipline inspection and supervision agencies during the first half of 2026 and set requirements for work in the next stage.
In accordance with the Party Constitution, Zhao Shiyong was elected as deputy secretary of the CCDI and Zhang Zhong as a member of the Standing Committee and deputy secretary.
The session was chaired by the Standing Committee of the CCDI. Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CCDI, addressed the session.
During the session, members stressed the need to enhance political oversight, improve Party conduct, uphold integrity, intensify the ongoing campaign to address misconduct and corruption, and ensure the high-quality completion of all annual tasks.
