Chinese climbers dominate at Asia Youth Series in Jiangxi

The young climber said staying calm was the key to his success.

"In previous competitions, I often became anxious and rushed at crucial moments," he said. "This time I stayed calm and focused on performing at my best.

"My main goal was lead climbing," he added. "For bouldering, I only hoped to reach the final. I think that relaxed mindset allowed me to perform at my true level."

A frequent competitor in Quannan, Mu said the county has played an important role in his development.

"Every time I come here, I feel I grow as an athlete," he said. "Sometimes, I also achieve good results here, which makes me very happy."
