Nestled in Tekes county, Ili, Xinjiang, Qiongkushitai village marks the northern gateway to the Wusun Ancient Trail. Recognized as one of China's Historical and Cultural Villages in 2010, it is surrounded by the majestic Tianshan Mountains, where alpine meadows and pine forests frame more than 40 century-old log houses. Home to a vibrant Kazak community, the village has preserved its traditional nomadic way of life, with the melodies of the dombra (a two-stringed plucked instrument) echoing through the valleys. Blending breathtaking landscapes with rich cultural heritage, Qiongkushitai remains one of Ili's most peaceful and captivating destinations.
