Dalian hosts 2026 China Overseas Scholar Innovation Summit
The event drew representatives from leading domestic and international enterprises, tech startups, returning scholars, experts and academics, investment and financing institutions, technology service providers, and trade associations.
The China Association for Science and Technology used the summit to launch its first-ever China youth science and technology talent training demonstration base in Dalian and launched its inaugural training program. The initiative plans to bring 300 to 500 outstanding senior doctoral candidates from across the country to Dalian each year for hands-on training and internships lasting 10 days or more.
A summer talent recruitment fair ran concurrently, featuring 305 companies offering 7,900 job vacancies. More than 11,000 candidates attended the fair, and initial hiring intentions were reached for 4,300 positions.
