In 2025, Liu won the WCIGS China Championship, earning the opportunity to represent China at the global competition. Over the years, he has explored the combination of specialty coffee and spirits, incorporating elements of Eastern culinary culture into his creations.
"Besides coffee itself, I hope competitions can help more people pay attention to the profession of baristas," Liu said.
