Death toll climbs to 11 after tornadoes, storms hit eastern Hubei

The death toll has climbed to 11, with one person still missing after severe thunderstorms and gale-force winds swept through eastern Hubei province on Monday, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The storms, which brought winds reaching Level 13, affected 14,600 people, injured 331, and forced 246 residents to relocate. The extreme weather also destroyed 22 homes and damaged 4,855 others, according to Xinhua.
Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage.
