Residential fire in Zhengzhou kills five, injures one

A residential fire broke out on Monday morning in a community in Zhengzhou, Henan province, killing five and injuring one, according to local fire authorities.
The blaze erupted at 7:51 am in Huiji district, with a burned area of about 15 square meters, according to the Zhengzhou fire and rescue bureau.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze about 15 minutes after it started, the authorities said.
A full search and rescue operation was launched once the fire was out. The injured person has received medical treatment and remains in stable condition, the officials added.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
