Truck falls from village road in Haidong killing 8

Eight people died and seven others were injured after a pickup truck overturned and fell from a village road in Haidong, Qinghai province, on Wednesday, Xinhua News Agency reported on Thursday, citing local authorities.
The accident occurred at around 7 pm on a village road in Lijiatai village, Shoule town, Ledu district of Haidong city, according to the report.
The pickup truck was carrying 15 people at the time of the accident. Four people died at the scene and four others died despite emergency treatment.
The seven injured people have been hospitalized for treatment and observation.
