China-Eurasia expo draws thousands, deepens cooperation
At a news conference in Urumqi on Tuesday, Li Hongqi, secretary of the leading Party members group of Xinjiang's regional department of commerce, said the event demonstrated a higher level of openness, stronger technology-driven empowerment, greater eco-friendliness, and more substantial economic and trade exchanges. It was fully powered by green electricity and achieved carbon neutrality across the entire event, making it a zero-carbon expo.
He noted that the expo has become a core platform for deepening practical cooperation between China and Central Asian countries, bridging the region in connectivity, trade, and innovative business development. It established a high-level platform for mutual trust and dialogue, while strengthening the institutional foundation for regional cooperation.
With a focus on precision matchmaking and tangible outcomes, the expo organized a series of economic and trade negotiations centered on Central Asia, based on an assessment of the cooperation needs of both Chinese and international participants.
Li added that the expo has also pursued digital empowerment, broadened the scope of partnership, and created new space for trade expansion.
