"It was the countless late nights in the practice rooms, where we helped each other stretch, went over lyrics together, and offered comfort. Those who made it through to the next round would stay behind to talk with those who were eliminated, and everyone, regardless of the competitive dynamic, cheered genuinely for each other's performances."
Stephanie Siao, 57, the season's oldest participant, also struck a chord with audiences by urging people not to let age define them.
