Intl scholars gather in Guilin for high-level academic exchange

A high-level international academic exchange event took place amid the misty, poetic landscapes of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from June 22 to 24.

Jointly organized by Guangxi Normal University Press Group and the university's School of History, Culture, and Tourism, the three-day event gathered more than 30 leading Chinese and international scholars.

Against the backdrop of Guilin's iconic mountains and rivers, attendees engaged in a unique series of lectures and intellectual dialogues centered on global history and the "Great Divergence" — the historical shift in economic paths between the West and East Asia.
