As summer ingredients arrive across China, a restaurant in Macao is offering a fresh take on Jiangnan cuisine through a menu that blends regional traditions with Cantonese culinary techniques.

Lakeview Palace at Wynn Palace will launch its new seasonal menu at the end of June, bringing together the refined flavors of Jiangnan and Guangdong under the direction of executive chef Zhu Guangpan, better known as Kevin Zhu. With expertise spanning Cantonese, Huaiyang and Shanghai cuisines, Zhu describes the concept as a "Huaiyang-Cantonese confluence" — pairing the elegance of Jiangsu and Zhejiang cooking with the finesse of Cantonese techniques.

Zhu has more than 16 years of culinary experience. He began his career in Guangzhou and later honed his skills in Shanghai, where he specialized in Shanghai and Taizhou cuisines. He has also worked within the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group and trained under Huaiyang cuisine master Hou Xinqing.
