Cooperation in publishing celebrates 35 years

He noted that the past 35 years mark both a milestone and a new starting point. Looking ahead, the two parties aim to continue introducing international classics, enhancing the global dissemination of Chinese academic achievements, and leveraging new technologies to boost publishing and academic exchanges.

In his speech, Michael Watson, executive publisher for history and academic books at Cambridge University Press, reviewed the century-old tradition of the Cambridge Histories series and praised the cooperation, which has made many important works widely available in the Chinese market.

Pan Qun, Asia director for Academic Publishing at Cambridge University Press, said this partnership is rooted in mutual respect and a shared belief in the value of academia. It is not just about copyright cooperation but also an ongoing dialogue between institutions, and he looks forward to further deepening the cooperation, he said.
