JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong launched the "Summer Wander: Griffin Fantasy Journey" event on June 6, offering families with children a memorable experience.
Featuring a serene woodland motif and the hotel's exclusive Griffin mascot, this immersive carnival was hosted at the newly renovated JW Garden Space. Guests enjoyed fun interactive games, creative handicraft workshops, recreational activities and exquisite refreshments.
Classic games such as basketball, mini bowling, carrot fishing and ring toss invited participants to recharge their batteries. Meanwhile, creative hands-on activities, including plant rubbing, botanical bookmark making and specimen crafting, provided entertainment for both kids and adults. A captivating magic show kept all attendees engaged throughout the event.
As a global initiative of the JW Marriott brand, the Family by JW Program is inspired by the brand's founders, J. Willard Marriott and Alice Marriott.
Designed for children aged 5 to 12 and their families, the program offers a wide range of engaging experiences and customized parent-child activities.
This concept aims to fulfill the needs of family travelers seeking comfort, wellness, exploration and fun-filled activities, creating delightful memories that last long after the journey ends.
Set in the thoughtfully designed Garden Space, the event offered an immersive woodland retreat that seamlessly blended indoor and outdoor environments.
Adorned with lush green plants, decorative elements and colorful floral arrangements, the venue exudes a tranquil and relaxing woodland atmosphere. The space consists of functional zones to cater to diverse needs, including a plant handicraft area, recreational zone, dessert lounge, photo corner and toy capsule gift station. Popcorn, themed desserts and coffee are on offer as well.
"Every detail is carefully curated to create precious bonding moments for families," according to the hotel.
