An exhibition entitled Royal Zhongshan: History and Culture of the Han Dynasty Zhongshan Kingdom opened on Friday at the Nanchang Relic Museum for Haihun Principality of Han Dynasty in Jiangxi province.

Jointly organized by the museum, Hebei Museum and the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the exhibition features 110 sets of artifacts unearthed from the tombs of kings of the Zhongshan Kingdom during the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), along with selected relics from the Haihun site.

Divided into three sections, the exhibition presents the history of the Zhongshan Kingdom, the royal life of Han Dynasty nobles, and ancient beliefs about death and immortality. It also highlights a dialogue between relics from the Zhongshan Kingdom in northern China and the Haihun Principality in southern China, offering visitors a closer look at the material life, ritual system and spiritual world of Han Dynasty nobility.

The exhibition will run through Aug 15.
