GETshow 2026 opens in Guangzhou, larger than ever
From April 6 to 8, the Guangzhou Canton Fair Exhibition Hall hosted the Guangzhou Entertainment Technology Show (GETshow), a premier entertainment equipment showcase focusing on audio and lighting products.
Since its launch in 2011, the GETshow has risen from a regional exhibition to an annual benchmark for the global entertainment equipment industry.
This year's exhibition was larger than ever before. Fourteen halls were opened, gathering more than 1,000 brand exhibitors from around the world, with an expected transaction volume of over 45 billion yuan ($6.59 billion). It achieved digital marketing in over 100 countries and regions.
The exhibition's highlight was an immersive light and shadow space called "Extreme SHOW", which was jointly organized by the Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment and the Guangzhou Cultural and Tourism Equipment Industry Association.
This year's Extreme SHOW told the story of how Guangdong's performing arts equipment industry evolved into a modern "manufacturing with service" model. Huang Peiling, president of the Guangzhou Cultural and Tourism Equipment Industry Association and director of the show, explained that Extreme SHOW itself is an example of this transformation toward the coordinated development of product, content, and service.
China's lighting, audio, and other entertainment equipment account for over 80 percent of the global market, while Guangdong contributes over 70 percent of the country's total, making it the backbone of the global entertainment hardware supply chain, according to a report from Nanfang Daily.
