Foresight Science and Technology Award honors scientists

This year's award honored four distinguished recipients. The Mathematics and Physical Science Award was given to Jin Shi, director of the university's Institute of Natural Sciences. The Engineering and Materials Science Award went to Wu Kai, chief scientist at Chinese battery giant CATL. The Information Technology and Space Science Award was presented to Teng Shanghua, a distinguished professor at the University of Southern California. The Life Sciences and Medicine Award was awarded to Xia Qiang, a chief physician and professor at Renji Hospital, affiliated with the university's School of Medicine.

The university expressed its commitment to continue fostering technological innovation, enhancing research outputs, and contributing to the nation's scientific and technological development.
