A series of activities to promote winter tourism in Fenglin county, Yichun, Heilongjiang province was recently held in Maoming, Foshan and Shenzhen in Guangdong province, highlighting available tourist resources in Northeast China.

Focusing on winter ecological resources, Fenglin promotes its rime along the Kurbin River and the forest of Korean pines. Distinctive local cultural and tourism projects, such as forest hiking, snowmobiling, reindeer sledding, homestays, ice houses, and forest bonfires, were also highlighted. Two premium tourist routes featuring "crossing the forest sea" were issued, conveying the unique allure of Fenglin's snowy landscape.

Sun Mei, secretary-general of the tourism industry association in Luohu district, Shenzhen, notes that Shenzhen, as a core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, naturally complements Yichun's ice and snow ecological resources. This promotional event has created novel, high-quality winter options for tourists from Shenzhen and Hong Kong, strengthening the foundation for cultural and tourism cooperation among the three regions.

An official from the culture and tourism bureau in Foshan's Chancheng district says that both Fenglin and Foshan will take this opportunity to deepen cooperation in jointly promoting tourist routes, exchanging visitor sources, and co-hosting events.
