The Fujian Coast Guard conducted a regular law enforcement patrol in the waters near Jinmen on Saturday, a China Coast Guard official said in a statement.
Zhu Anqing, spokesperson for the East Sea Bureau of the China Coast Guard, noted that since the beginning of January, the Fujian Coast Guard has organized vessel formations to strengthen patrols in the waters adjacent to Jinmen and enhance control over these maritime areas. These efforts aim to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan, and to ensure orderly navigation and operations in the waters between Xiamen, Fujian province, and Jinmen.
