Chongqing celebrates wintersweet bloom with floriculture festival

One of the event's purposes is to increase local collaboration between agriculture, culture, and tourism. The opening ceremony showcased 36 projects in flower cultivation, facility agriculture, leisure agriculture, and food processing. Three thematic rural tours were also introduced.
Later in the day, the district also commenced a conference on the Sichuan-Chongqing floriculture industry development, featuring expert discussions on chimonanthus breeding and the integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries.
According to the sponsors, the festival will run until Spring Festival in February. It includes performances, a local crafts and delicacy market, and visits to the local Chinese Chimonanthus Expo Park.
