Xi to attend opening ceremony of National Games, declare Games open

GUANGZHOU -- President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China, which will be held on Sunday in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will declare the Games open.
The opening ceremony, to be held in the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center, will be broadcast live by China Media Group. Xinhuanet will provide live coverage with photos and text updates.
