Bios of Shenzhou XXI mission crew

Major Wu Fei, 32, a native of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, graduated with a master's degree from Beihang University, formerly known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, in 2017.

He began his career at the China Academy of Space Technology as an engineer and worked there until September 2020, when he was selected as a spaceflight engineer candidate in the third generation of astronauts.

Wu joined the PLA in January 2021 and is now a third-grade astronaut of the PLA Astronaut Division.
