China Eastern to resume Nanjing–Paris direct route

China Eastern Airlines will resume direct flights between Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu province, and Paris, France, starting Oct 29, the Shanghai-based carrier announced.

The Nanjing–Paris service will operate every Wednesday from Nanjing Lukou International Airport, with the return flight departing Paris later the same day (local time), according to the airline.

France is one of China’s key economic and trade partners and serves as the third-largest trading partner and a major source of foreign investment for Jiangsu province within the European Union.

The resumption of the route is expected to provide greater convenience for business and leisure travelers, while further promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and France in sectors such as finance, tourism, education and culture.
