Dalian patent fair boosts innovation drive
The 14th China International Patent Fair, aimed at promoting patent transformation and utilization to empower innovative development, opened in Dalian, Liaoning province, on Monday.
Wang Libo, deputy governor of Liaoning, said at the three-day event's opening ceremony that this premier national exhibition in the field of intellectual property in China has evolved into a significant platform for exchanging innovations and fostering trade cooperation across a wide range of industries, both within the country and internationally.
He highlighted that the patent accomplishments showcased at the fair are poised to inject fresh energy into Liaoning's revitalization and development efforts, while also playing a crucial role in enhancing the innovation landscape and promoting high-quality growth in Dalian.
Shen Changyu, head of China National Intellectual Property Administration, likened the utilization of patents to a "bridge" that transforms innovative achievements into real productive forces, emphasizing that this process is a key to achieving innovation-driven development.
He added that this event, which integrates exhibition areas, seminars and exchanges, will also help promote the expansion of high-level opening-up and assist in the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China.
On Monday, winners of the 25th China Patent Award also received their awards.
