Beijing Academy opens new campus in Chaoyang district

Nobel Prize winner Thomas Sudhof sent a congratulatory video message that was played during ceremonies on Sunday to open a new campus for Beijing Academy.
The academy is one of the largest educational institutions spanning primary school to senior high school.
In the video message, Sudhof, a neuroscientist, praised the launch of a new Nobel Prize Innovation class and encouraged students to pursue careers in science and technology.
"I was truly impressed by the level of learning and the thoughtfulness of the students," he said. "Their independent thinking was quite amazing."
