A university-museum alliance in Shanghai's Lin-gang Area launched a cultural education program on Wednesday, combining the ninth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival with a celebration of the region's maritime heritage.
The event, held at the China Maritime Museum under the theme "Gathering in Lin-gang: Cultivating the Sea, Reaping the Harvest", was organized by the Lin-gang Area Cultural Education Alliance of Universities, with guidance from Shanghai's education authorities. The Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, observed on the autumn equinox, honors agriculture and rural harvests.
