Two giant pandas welcome their first visitors at new home in Harbin

Two giant pandas named Zhi Shi and Zhi Ma welcomed their first visitors at their new home — the Sun Island giant panda pavilion in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on Saturday.
Zhi Shi and Zhi Ma, whose names translate to "cheese" and "sesame" in English, respectively, are both 8-year-old males, and arrived from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan province on Aug 11.
After quarantine for inspection and adapting to their new home, the two giant pandas made their debut to the public in Harbin.
Breeders prepared fresh bamboo and various fruits for them.
"They have fully adapted to the new environment and are in good health," the breeder said. "They have a regular schedule of eating, exercising, and resting every day. The current cool weather in Harbin is very suitable for their living."
