A dialogue between centuries-old elegance and contemporary creativity is unfolding in Beijing.

The exhibition Elegance and Style: A Dialogue between Prince Kung's Palace and Chinese Fashion (1780-2025) opened on Tuesday at Prince Kung's Palace Museum in Beijing. Running through Oct 19, it explores the fusion of refined Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) aesthetics with modern Chinese fashion and design.

Built in 1780, Prince Kung's Mansion is one of Beijing's largest and most well-preserved royal residences from the dynasty. Drawing inspiration from its rich history, architecture and decorative arts, the exhibition invites visitors to experience how static history can flow into vibrant, wearable art.
