A ship preparing for its maiden voyage to the US West Coast docked at Nansha Port in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Wednesday, officially launching the first direct premium express shipping route between Guangzhou and the Port of Los Angeles.

The route achieves a high-efficiency direct service within 14 days, with cargo unloading and delivery available at the Port of Los Angeles every Thursday.

Operated independently by Hede Shipping of Hebei Port, the express service deploys a fleet of five vessels operating weekly trips from Nansha Port to the Port of Los Angeles, according to Guangzhou Port Group.

The new route significantly reduces the shipping time from South China to the US West Coast, lowering logistics costs and providing efficient and stable transportation support for cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing industries.

With strong support from customs, commerce, maritime, border inspection, port administration, and other relevant authorities, Guangzhou Port's joint inspection and customs clearance processes have become more convenient and efficient, according to the port company.
