Fenglin named outstanding natural landscape tourism destination


A conference showcasing the innovative development of tourist cities, towns and scenic areas took place on Saturday in Beijing. Fenglin county in Yichun, Heilongjiang province, was named one of "China's outstanding natural landscape tourism destinations".
Representatives from Fenglin county were invited to deliver a presentation on its tourism development, during which its major natural attractions were highlighted, including the Wuying red pine forest scenic zone, which is the largest virgin red pine forest in Asia, and Xinqing national wetland park, a habitat for hooded cranes and other migratory birds.

The presentation also covered local tourism offerings, such as wellness retreats, self-driving routes, outdoor sports and folk culture, featuring its local specialties, guesthouses and hotels, and investment policies.
During the conference's discussion session, experts recognized Fenglin's ecological conditions as ideal for tourism development. Representatives from travel agencies and cultural tourism investors expressed interest in future cooperation and product development.
