Chongqing rivers form yin-yang spectacle

Recently, a striking yin-yang symbol emerged at Chaotianmen, where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers converge in Southwest China's Chongqing.
The locals have dubbed this sight the "grand hotpot", drawing parallels to Chongqing's iconic dual-flavored hotpot, featuring a murky, spicy broth contrasting with a clear, non-spicy broth.
Experts said this phenomenon usually occurs during the yearly flood season, primarily triggered by intense rainfall in the upstream regions of the two rivers, resulting in shifts in sediment levels.
