Xiabuxiabu Restaurant Management Co recently participated in a New Zealand beef and lamb launch event held at the New Zealand Central in Shanghai.

The event was attended by representatives from the New Zealand government, including the prime minister, as well as key figures from China's food and beverage industry.

At the event, representatives from Xiabuxiabu joined discussions on strengthening the supply chain for high-quality food ingredients and shared perspectives on global sourcing and evolving trends in the Chinese restaurant market.

As part of the proceedings, the New Zealand Meat Board awarded Xiabuxiabu Group an official certification plaque for New Zealand beef and lamb preferred experience store, acknowledging the company's role as a key distribution partner in China.

The certification aims to help consumers at Xiabuxiabu and its brand CouCou more easily identify New Zealand-sourced lamb, which is known for being produced in natural, environmentally sustainable conditions.

Organizers said the certification reflects efforts to ensure transparency and traceability in imported meat products.

During the event, a Xiabuxiabu representative noted the group's long-standing efforts to develop an international procurement network and its current use of New Zealand lamb across its restaurant chain. Both sides expressed interest in exploring further cooperation to bring more New Zealand meat products to Chinese consumers.
