BUDAPEST -- A delegation led by Baima Chilin, president of the China Society for Human Rights Studies, concluded a three-day visit to Hungary on Wednesday aimed at strengthening exchanges and mutual understanding in the field of human rights.

The visit, held from June 23 to 25, included Baima Chilin's participation in the "Consensus on International Human Rights: Retrospect of the Past 80 Years and Prospects of the Future" seminar, co-hosted by the China Society for Human Rights Studies, the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, and the Eurasia Center of Hungary.

During the visit, Baima held discussions with Hungarian officials. The meetings focused on sharing China's perspective on human rights governance and promoting bilateral cooperation in the field.

Participants from both sides exchanged views on the conceptual differences and shared values between Chinese and Western human rights frameworks.

The discussions also touched on the evolving challenges of global human rights governance, with both sides expressing support for inclusive dialogue and pragmatic cooperation.
