Ulan Bator holds music competition to mark UN Civilizations Dialogue Day


On June 10, the "Conversation and Connection" event, also the 2025 "Mongolian Voice - Chinese Best Songs" music competition was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. Following the preliminary rounds, 15 young Mongolian contestants participated in the final.
Li Zhi, counselor of the Chinese embassy in Mongolia and director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, attended the event. Li said, in celebration of the first International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, China and Mongolia promote cultural exchange through music and songs, embodying the Global Civilization Initiative. He added that the contest serves as both a stage for talent and a window for mutual learning among civilizations.
After intense competition, two contestants won first prize, two won second prize, and another two secured third prize.
Initiated by the Mongolian "A Community with a Shared Future for Mankind · the Belt and Road Initiative" Association, organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, the event is part of a series of events commemorating the inaugural International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations.
